Katya Kosiv graduated from Vanderbilt University in May of 2006 with a B.A. in Philosophy. After graduation, Katya received a Fulbright grant to Ukraine to study the impact of social institutions on disabled orphans. Working with Children of Chornobyl Relief and Development, Katya studied the current situation facing orphans in Ukraine by visiting orphanages, interviewing agents and agencies responsible to orphans, and studying philosophical and sociological theory. Currently, Katya works as a physician's office assistant at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
