Anne Bentley Waddoups, MA, is a third-year doctoral student at the Eliot Pearson Department of Child Development at Tufts University. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Boston University, teaching lifespan development at BU’s Graduate School of Social Work. Anne was a doctoral fellow at Connected Beginnings and has contributed to a variety of child development projects including researching premature infant brain development at Children’s Hospital, studying teen parenthood at the Young Father’s Project and the Massachusetts Healthy Families evaluation at Tufts, developing a training guide for volunteers at a residential infant clinic in Guatemala, developing parenting curricula for Families First, and leading an initial program evaluation of the non-profit Room to Grow. Her interests include infant development, parent/child relationships, parent and caregiver beliefs, program evaluation, training and development of caregivers, & early child development in challenging contexts. Prior to her child development work, Anne worked as an editor and writer in diverse settings, including non-profits, hospitals, universities, and state government. In addition to her master’s degree in child development from Tufts University, Anne completed a B.A. in English and additional graduate work in public administration.
